A big preview day today as we’ve received several pre-production samples of upcoming pin-of-the month collections for 2010. We thought you would enjoy seeing them.

We heart this pin! It is the Tinker Bell Birthstone collection for 2010. We’ve loved the birthstone concept for a couple of years. Do you recall the Tinker Bell birthstone collection from 2003? In 2006, we re-introduced the Tinker Bell birthstones with an open edition collection. For the past couple of years, a pin-of-the-month birthstone collection was released at Disneyland® Resort. For 2010, the birthstone collection will become a shared release – meaning it will be released in California and Florida. We can’t describe just how beautiful this pin is in person. Look for a new pin being released each month from January – December 2010.

Next we have the Castle pin-of-the-month collection. This collection will feature different Disney characters pictured with either Sleeping Beauty Castle or Cinderella Castle (depending upon which Disney Park you are visiting). In other words, the Cinderella Castle pin will be released in Florida and Sleeping Beauty Castle in California.

Finally, we talked about this pin-of-the-month collection on August 12, 2009. Here is the finished product. As you can see, there are two pins that will be sold together. The cool part is that you can remove the different characters and place them with different colored Mickey Mouse icons. The combinations are endless!

We recently finished posting some upcoming pins for October. Two of those pins are extra special and will be released on October 1, 2009 in honor of the 10th Anniversary of Disney Pin Trading. The theme of the upcoming celebration is a “Decade of Magical Trades.” We wanted to offer our Guests some very special pins that are sure to bring great “trading power” during future trades. These two marcasite pins were inspired by the three, popular marcasite pins from the Disney Summer Pin Festival 2009.

Each pin will have an edition size of 50 and will retail for $150. The Sleeping Beauty Castle pin will be release at Disney’s Pin Traders in California and the Cinderella Castle pin will be released at Disney’s Pin Traders in Florida. There will be a purchase limit of one pin, per Guest, and wristbands will be distributed for their release.
